CLARENCE L. KENNEY Clarence L. Kenney, 90, of Lexington, MO passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Lexington Care Center. Clarence Kenney was born July 4, 1920 in Lexington, the son of Smith Wilmot and Maude Katherine Schrimsher Kenney. He married Teresa Gnotta on January 5, 1946, in Lexington. Mr. Kenney was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, American Legion, V.F.W. Post 4052 and the Lexington Elks Lodge. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a retired Quality Assurance Specialist for the U.S. Government (Department of the Army). Mr. Kenney is survived by his wife of 64 years, Teresa Gnotta Kenney, of the home. Two children: Sharon Kay Mathiott, Richmond and James Lyle Kenney and wife, Sue, Lexington. Five grandchildren: Teresa Auxier and husband, Jeff, St. Joseph, MO, Stacy Breeden and husband, Steve, Lexington, Lauren Mathiott, Richmond, Ryan Kenney and wife, Kimberly, Springdale, AR and Mendy Smith and husband, Bill, Warrensburg. One sister, Katherine Pearson, Olympia, WA. There are six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John W. Kenney. Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lexington. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Rites.
